Cybersecurity Portfolio
IT & Cybersecurity professional focused on cyber defense, digital forensics, and network security. Graduating with a 3.99 GPA — and building technology to protect children online.
Background
I'm a cybersecurity student at Spokane Falls Community College, graduating Spring 2026 with an A.A.S. in IT/Cybersecurity — Cyber Defender emphasis. I return in Fall 2026 to complete my B.A.S.
In my day-to-day, I work as a Lab Technician supporting five IT lab environments, serve as VP of the Applied Technologies Club, and balance gig work and homeschooling my two boys. I thrive under pressure and don't stop until things work.
My path into cybersecurity wasn't straight — it was earned. That gives me a perspective and drive that pure-track students don't always have.

Lab Work & Projects
Analyzed live packet captures to identify attack patterns, IOCs, and lateral movement within a simulated enterprise network. Produced formal incident reports documenting findings and remediation steps.
Conducted structured triage procedures on simulated cybersecurity incidents. Documented initial findings, escalation paths, and recommended containment strategies using industry-standard frameworks.
Performed full memory forensic investigation on a compromised Windows system. Extracted artifacts, identified malicious processes, and produced a formal forensic report with chain of custody documentation.
Built and configured Kibana dashboards for security event visualization. Completed Splunk lab exercises for log ingestion, alerting, and threat hunting workflows.
Configured and then penetration-tested a pfSense firewall environment. Identified misconfigurations, exploited a simulated VPN, and documented attack surface findings with remediation recommendations.
Completed structured malware analysis exercises in Cyberbit's enterprise-grade simulation environment. Performed static and dynamic analysis, identified persistence mechanisms, and documented behavioral indicators.
Practiced offensive and defensive web security techniques including SQL injection, input validation bypass, and PHP security hardening in controlled lab environments.
Developed Bash scripts for login failure monitoring, arithmetic automation, and system tasks on Ubuntu and Kali Linux. Also wrote Python utilities for IT automation use cases.
Beyond the Work
I'm building a nonprofit focused on online safety in gaming environments — a space where children are particularly vulnerable to predatory behavior, grooming, and exploitation, yet largely underserved by existing safety tools and education.
As a mother, a cybersecurity professional-in-training, and someone who understands both the technical and human dimensions of these threats, I'm uniquely positioned to bridge that gap.
